St. Sunday give Post Hardcore the chance it still deserves, and the crazy part is that most of them are too young to remember all that the term “Post Hardcore” used to mean. Rather they came to their sound organically and put their mark on the genre in a way that doesn’t smack of mimicking or aping bands of yesterday. If (like me) you remember the early 90s with a fondness then you need to check these guys out. St. Sunday play emotional hardcore in the way it was once done up proper and before it became the joke that was “emo”. For fans of Boy Sets Fire, Sunny Day Real Estate, Samiam and Rites of Spring.
